“Please find my CV and let me know if you have any suitable job” is understandable, but it gives a recruiter a large matching task. Suitable for which function, industry, level and location? Are you seeking a hands-on specialist role or a management appointment? Are you already in the UAE or planning a move?

A better approach makes those decisions easier without turning the first message into a biography. This guide explains whom to contact, what information to include, how to follow up and how to keep the process safe. It includes adaptable examples for UAE-based professionals, applicants outside the country and senior candidates making a confidential move.

The templates are illustrative. Replace every bracketed field and use only achievements you can substantiate. They are not examples of real candidates or a promise that a recruiter will respond.

Understand which recruiter you are contacting

An in-house recruiter works on hiring for a particular employer. An agency recruiter works on assignments for client companies, often within a function or industry. An executive-search consultant may be handling a limited number of senior or confidential mandates.

That distinction changes your request. A company recruiter is unlikely to advise on opportunities across unrelated businesses. A cybersecurity specialist may not be the right contact for a hotel operations role. An executive-search firm is not necessarily running an open application process for every leadership title.

Read the recruiter's public profile, company website and recent vacancies before making contact. Look for evidence of relevant function, sector and market coverage. Do not assume that being based in Dubai means the person handles every UAE role or that an agency's public job list contains every assignment it is working on.

Our guide to how recruitment agencies work in India and the UAE explains the wider relationship. The key point for outreach is simple: help the person understand the kind of assignment for which your profile may be relevant.

Make your CV and LinkedIn agree before sending a message

Check that your current title, employer history, dates and key responsibilities are consistent. Your target role can differ from your current title, but explain the move rather than quietly changing the history.

Prepare a readable, text-based CV with a clear summary, relevant responsibilities and substantiated achievements. Use the Dubai CV format guide as a practical structure, while following the employer's actual file instructions. There is no single template that guarantees an interview or universal ATS score.

Your LinkedIn headline should help a recruiter recognise your function and strengths. “Finance manager | Financial reporting and business partnering” is more informative than “Seeking a challenging opportunity”. Keep claims proportionate: a technology used briefly on one project should not automatically become a headline specialism.

Make sure the contact details you provide work and the document opens correctly. Use a recognisable filename such as FirstName-LastName-Finance-Manager-CV.pdf. Avoid a public document link that accidentally exposes other files, and do not attach identity documents to an unsolicited introduction.

Include the details a recruiter needs to place your profile

Keep the first contact focused on a small set of decision-useful facts.

Information What to say What to avoid
Target role and level One or two closely related functions at a clear responsibility level A list of unrelated jobs you would accept
Relevant experience Sector, scope and one defensible achievement or responsibility Unsupported claims or a wall of tool names
Location Where you are now and where you are considering work Implying you are UAE-based if you are not
Availability Notice period or realistic start timing Claiming immediate availability when you have commitments
Work-authorisation context A concise, truthful statement where relevant or requested Passport scans, ID numbers or assumptions about eligibility
Next step Apply for a named role, share a CV or ask about relevant mandates A vague request to “do the needful”

You do not need to include every detail in a connection note. Start with relevance; provide fuller information when the channel allows it. If an application asks for compensation expectations, use a clear currency and pay period. Do not send salary documents or confidential employer records as proof in an initial approach.

Use the advertised application route first

If you find a suitable vacancy, follow its application instructions. Save the job title, reference number and link so that a follow-up can be specific. Do not assume a LinkedIn message replaces an application or that emailing several employees improves your chances.

A short note to the named recruiter can provide context after applying. State that you have applied and why the match is relevant. Avoid asking the recruiter to assess a CV with no reference to the actual role.

If there is no suitable advertised vacancy, a brief expression of interest is reasonable where the agency accepts general CV submissions. Treat it as an introduction, not a request for a guaranteed search conducted on your behalf. Agencies commonly work to an employer's brief; a good profile still needs a matching requirement.

LinkedIn connection request: keep it specific

Use a short note rather than squeezing in your entire career. LinkedIn supports personalising connection invitations, although availability and limits can depend on the account and product. Keep the message within the limit shown in your interface.

Hi [Name], I work in cybersecurity and am exploring UAE roles. Your focus on security hiring is relevant to my background. I'd be pleased to connect.

For a finance professional, replace the function and the recruiter's specialism. Do not claim you have read their work unless you have, and do not frame a generic message as a personal recommendation.

Once the connection is accepted, use a fuller message with enough context to support a decision. A connection is permission to begin a professional conversation, not evidence that the recruiter has a vacancy or has agreed to represent you.

LinkedIn message after applying for a vacancy

Hi [Name],

I applied for [job title, reference] through [application route]. My background includes [relevant responsibility] in [sector], including [one substantiated example].

I am based in [location] and have [notice period / availability]. The role's focus on [specific requirement] is particularly relevant to my experience.

If helpful, I can clarify [one relevant point]. Thank you for considering my application.

[Your name]

This message explains why you are writing and where the application can be found. It does not ask for an immediate call or pressure the recruiter to promise an interview. If the role is not a close match, improve your targeting before writing a more persuasive note.

Email template for a professional already in the UAE

Use a subject line that makes the function recognisable. “CV” or “Urgent job required” is less useful than a clear role and location.

Subject: [Target role] | [Specialism] | [Current location]

Hello [Name / recruitment team],

I am exploring [target role and level] opportunities in [preferred UAE locations]. My experience is in [sector / function], with responsibility for [relevant scope].

One example of my work is [a concise, truthful achievement or responsibility relevant to the target role]. I am particularly interested in [type of business or role scope].

I am currently based in [location], with [notice period / availability]. [Add relevant work-authorisation context if appropriate or requested.]

I have attached my CV. If you handle assignments matching this background, I would welcome consideration for a suitable role.

Kind regards,

[Name] | [Phone with country code] | [LinkedIn URL]

If you are referring to a listed vacancy, put its reference in the subject and use the required application route. Do not attach the same CV several times under different filenames.

Email template when applying from India or another country

Being outside the UAE should be stated accurately, not hidden behind a local phone number or ambiguous profile location. Explain the intended move without assuming the employer will sponsor it or cover every cost.

Subject: [Target role] | [Specialism] | Open to UAE relocation

Hello [Name / recruitment team],

I am based in [city, country] and am considering a move to the UAE for [target role / function]. My background includes [relevant industry and responsibility], with [one credible example of work].

I am targeting [Dubai / Abu Dhabi / other relevant locations] and can be available after [notice period or realistic timing]. I would need to discuss the employer's work-authorisation and relocation arrangements before making commitments.

My CV is attached. If you are recruiting for roles that match this background and consider overseas applicants, I would appreciate being considered.

Kind regards,

[Name] | [Phone with country code] | [LinkedIn URL]

The purpose is to remove uncertainty, not to predict visa eligibility. For an actual move, confirm the applicable process through the employer and official authorities. A recruiter introduction is not a work permit or an instruction to begin employment.

Template for a confidential senior or leadership approach

For a senior appointment, lead with scope rather than a generic request for any management job. Mention the type of organisation, function or transformation you are equipped to lead without disclosing confidential plans.

Subject: Confidential introduction | [Leadership function] | UAE / GCC

Hello [Name],

I am considering a confidential move into [target leadership scope] in the UAE or [other markets genuinely under consideration]. My experience includes responsibility for [team / function / business remit] in [sector].

I have led [one shareable example of relevant responsibility or change]. I am particularly interested in mandates involving [specific leadership challenge].

Please do not approach my current employer or circulate my profile without discussing the opportunity with me first. I would welcome a confidential initial conversation if my background is relevant to your current or future search work.

Kind regards,

[Name] | [Personal professional contact details]

Ask how confidentiality is handled, but remember that an email footer alone cannot ensure it. Agree what may be shared, with whom and at which stage. Do not include protected commercial figures, customer names or unpublished organisational changes to make the introduction appear more impressive.

There is no universal response time for recruiters. A practical approach is to respect any stated timeline and otherwise consider one concise follow-up after roughly a working week. This is suggested etiquette, not a rule that every recruiter or employer follows.

Hi [Name],

I am following up on my [date] message about [role / reference / specialism]. I remain interested and can clarify [relevant detail].

If there is no matching requirement at present, I understand. Thank you for your time.

Do not send the same message daily across email, LinkedIn and WhatsApp. Use messaging apps only where the recruiter has invited that route or published it for applications. If you receive no reply, continue with other suitable applications and professional contacts rather than treating one person as the gatekeeper to the entire Dubai market.

Keep a simple private tracker: organisation, recruiter, role reference, application date, route used, follow-up and next action. Store only necessary professional information and do not scrape or buy private contact lists.

Protect your information and watch for recruitment scams

Verify the company and the person through independently located official channels, particularly before sharing sensitive information or transferring money. A familiar logo or a detailed profile is not conclusive proof of identity.

LinkedIn's scam guidance identifies warning signs such as payment requests, early demands for sensitive information and pressure to move immediately to another platform. An application should not require you to hand over banking passwords, one-time codes or access to your accounts.

Dubai Police has warned about fake job offers involving registration payments, money transfers and requests for personal or banking information. Do not confuse a request to pay for access to a job with an optional career-coaching service. If someone promises a guaranteed placement in return for a registration payment, pause and verify the arrangement through official channels.

At Latinum HR, emailing your CV for recruitment consideration is free. Optional HR consultations through DexterCV are separate paid services; buying one is not required to apply and does not guarantee an interview or a job.

Contact Latinum HR through the right route

For recruitment consideration, email your CV to jobs@ats.latinumhr.com. Include your target role, current location, preferred markets and availability. Our focus is mid-senior and leadership hiring across industries; relevance depends on the requirements we are working on, not simply on receiving a CV.

If you want structured help with positioning, interviews or your search approach, explore HR consultation packages or DexterCV consultations, a separate platform created by Latinum HR's founders. Review the current scope, price and terms there. These services support preparation rather than promising employment.

You can also use the jobseeker salary calculator as one input when preparing for a compensation discussion. A market indication does not determine the package a particular employer will offer; role scope and package components still matter.

Frequently asked questions

Can I contact a Dubai recruiter before relocating?

Yes. State your actual location, intended markets, notice period and any relocation or work-authorisation questions. Apply to roles that consider overseas candidates, and do not imply you are already resident in the UAE if you are not.

Should I send my CV with the first LinkedIn connection request?

Use the connection note to explain relevance briefly. Share a CV through the published application route or when the recruiter invites it. A short invitation is not the right place for a full career history or sensitive documents.

Why has a recruiter not replied to my message?

There may be no matching assignment, the role may be on hold, or the recruiter may be prioritising active candidates. Non-response does not by itself establish that your CV is poor. Review relevance, follow up appropriately and continue a wider search.

Do I need to pay for a consultation to submit my CV to Latinum HR?

No. Send your CV to jobs@ats.latinumhr.com for recruitment consideration without buying a consultation. DexterCV's optional paid services are separate and do not guarantee a placement.
